It's hardly pulse pounding as the description say. In actual fact it's largely dull and plods along at a pace that even a tortoise would scoff at. Any interest this book generates starts happening about 3/4 into the book and even then it turns out to have little bearing on the underlying them that Connolly has been toying with throughout this book. i was quite excited when I saw that the book was going to be released and waited for months to get it and when I finally did I was sorely disappointed and left Hollow, just like one of the Collector's victims. I really wanted to like this book...I really did. i think it's high time that Connolly put this series to bed because it's not going anywhere, and more worryingly, I'm not sure that Connolly knows where he's going with this too. I have long tired of the witless sarcastic banter between Angel and Louis, whom Connolly has seemingly imbued with super powers...turned them into a couple of the Beautiful People of the world who are just too cool, just too perfect at who they are and what they do. I gave this drudgingly weary book 2 stars ,one for helping to put me to sleep at night and the other for the mild excitement towards the end but which evaporates quite quickly.
