Code [a Virals Novel] By Reichs, Kathy Book - 2013

A reviewer below wondered why Kathy Reichs isn't as famous as Rick Riordan, J.K. Rowling, or Cassandra Clare. I can tell you why. Her writing style is a bit choppy. I don't mind too much, but I feel like she should have put more effort into it. Everyone swears a lot, whether it be screaming it out to the world, whispering it, or saying it in text language. Tory and her friends have a troubling tendency to judge, swear at, and generally disrespect adults (except for the good-looking, supposedly kid-friendly ones, because of course that's okay—I'm being sarcastic don't take me literally). The plot is very entertaining, though, and that's one of the only reasons why I read this. Tory's pretty clever too, and Hi pretty funny, which makes the rating go up a bit higher.
