It started interesting but I fell like the author lost sight of what Neverfells goal was. The ending was rushed and left more questions than answers, like who was Kleptomancer in the end? Was he related to the Grand Steward? The ending was so rushed and the author leaned too heavily on the crutch of True Wine, not building Neverfells character when she was creating the rebellion and just going “she forgot haha” it felt lazy to me. The author never even utilized Neverfells “cheese making expertise” except for a handful of times with Perfumes. It felt rushed and unfinished. The stupidity of Neverfell throughout the book was maddening as well. I understand being naive but she just lacked common sense. All in all, the idea for the story was there, but the execution was lacking.
