Based on the book by David Leviathan, the 2018 film Everyday follows Rhiannon as she falls in love with A, a mysterious spirit that lives in a different body everyday. I truly felt like this movie had some major potential. The acting was really good but the story just wasn't able to get me to root for the characters. The ending seemed really rushed and left me unsatisfied. I wished the stakes were higher, with Nathan playing a bigger role similar to how it was in the book. Movies based on books don't have to follow the book word for word, but rather adapt and improve on what was already written, making it come to life. I personally felt that Everyday just didn't do that. 2 Stars @Ruby_Tuesday of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
