"[Humans are] everything you say... but so much more." The essential message of this film. Human beings are capable of so much destruction, so much hatred. They can, and yet may, set the world on fire. But that is not all that they're capable of. They are not one-dimensional. I flat out loved this message in the film, and it's a good one for the troubled times we live in. Still, beyond that, I also just enjoyed my 2.5 hours watching this film. Watching Diana step out into the world, not so much losing her innocence but growing organically from it. She becomes wiser to the ways of the world, but she does not let it ultimately change who she is. This movie's entire cast and crew came together, and gave us gold. This was not the traditional 'save the world, get a happy ending' film (did anyone else other than me sob their heart out over Steve Trevor's sacrifice?), but it works all the better for that. The score is also to die for. Worth every minute of your time.
