Overall this film is more about the acting, which is very good. Keaton was great. The actors who played the McDonald's brothers were awesome. The story it hopes to expose seems secondary. Kroc was a jerk. The world would have been fine without a global corporation like McDonald's having asserted itself all over the globe but who knows what would have taken its place. The film also reminds me to read every contract very carefully. Jeffn mentioned that the film doesn't discuss some other negative aspects of the rise of McDonald's but I don't know if the film could take on too much. That being said, I thought the example of how Kroc wanted to introduce a powdered milkshake instead of the 'real thing' was an example of how the fast food industry would ultimately opt for more economical options than wholesome, natural food products. It was symbolic of where the industry would go.
