Corrigan (a man who went to Haiti to adopt, and possibly to open an orphanage, and who, with his wife, volunteered in Haitian orphanages for over a year): "I would conservatively estimate, that about 80% of the 'orphans', of the kids in Haiti, were not 'true orphans', but 'poverty orphans'." ['poverty orphans', meaning: children who have parents, but their parents sent them to an orphanage, for various reasons, among which is in the hope of the kid getting 'adopted' thus, to send a family member to live in a 'rich country' and help support the 'real' family back home.]
