Not my cup of tea, weak story. I don't understand the ending. Did not make sense at all. Acting was pretty good, but that's all. Not a good story.

This thriller/science fiction film is about three college students who are convinced that they have located a computer hacker far out in the desert. The movie stars Brenton Thwaites, Laurence Fishburne, Olivia Cooke, and Beau Knapp amongst more. The movie did a fairly good job at successfully pulling off the whole science fiction look, but some of the scenes were kind of boring and dull. I found that when certain characters were on screen the movie was much better than at different times. I would rate this movie 3/5 stars and recommend it to those who like technology themed movies. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

Very interesting movie. Kept my attention the whole way through.

Another alien abduction; so what? Does the story have any point? Too much a scramble of twists and meaningless characters, along with an annoying jumble of camera and lighting techniques.

There are many things about this film that do not follow. It is an interesting idea but really the only way it could hang together properly and make sense would be if they made a couple more films around it. That's not going to happen. I would recommend District 9 or perhaps Moon as better but vaguely similar films instead.

The first twenty minutes were like an MTV soap opera, but with no drama or throwing of pottery. Just teens beings angsty, nothing more. The director, having nothing to say, used shaky cam to try to liven it up, but then I was bored and irritated both. DNF

Nic: The truth of the matter is, total Mickey Mouse operation here. Antiquated methodologies, dinosaurs with government grants. A whole facility built during the first wave of Big Science outdated but allowed to continue pretending that you're important… The only thing I know for certain is that you don't know what you're dealing with. You will be pulled from this shitty little shack you call a research facility so fast that the only thing relevant to be shown for any of this is the way it's all exposed, wrecked, and forgotten.
