Story time for little ones has never been this exciting! When a friendly monster spots a group of bunnies in the woods, his delight is contagious. And when they're gone, how he misses them.

With bright illustrations and a simple text, this is the most fun type of read-aloud and one that mirrors most every toddler's emotional life.

Declan is a very friendly monster. He says "Hello" to everything in the forest, from the clouds to the stumps. He also really loves bunnies. He gets super excited when he sees them. Maybe a little too excited...

Bunnies!!! is a Missouri Building Block Nominee for 2016. This is a wonderful story, with bright, inviting illustrations, and quick, easy to read and understand text. One of the reason's this book works so well as a read aloud is how you can quickly glance at the page and know what you should say, allowing you to hold the book towards the audience and use your face and voice to help express Declan's emotions.

You can get deep with this book, and talk to children about meeting new friends, when it is appropriate to be enthusiastic, and when to use inside voices. Or you can just talk about things that make everyone really excited. This is also a great story to act out with children, one can be the monster who greets everything, and everyone else can be what makes him/her super excited. No matter if you read this with one child then move on, or build a lesson plan around it, everyone will enjoy it.

My kiddos love this book. Even the 13 year old. It's referenced many times when we're heading to the grocery store or a soccer game. "Bunnies!" they shout. "Can you bring home that book again?"

My daughter is nearly 4 and she loves this. She's asking to borrow it again. Great book for helping develop language understanding through tone.

Great book for story times, especially with groups of mixed ages or children who are learning English.
