A #1 New York Times Bestseller

Brandon Sanderson, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Words of Radiance , coauthor of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, and creator of the internationally bestselling Mistborn Trilogy, presents the second book in the Reckoners series: Firefight , the sequel to the #1 bestseller Steelheart .
   Newcago is free.
They told David it was impossible, that even the Reckoners had never killed a High Epic. Yet Steelheart--invincible, immortal, unconquerable--is dead. And he died by David's hand.
Eliminating Steelheart was supposed to make life simpler. Instead, it only made David realize he has questions. Big ones. And no one in Newcago can give him answers.
Babylon Restored, the city formerly known as the borough of Manhattan, has possibilities, though. Ruled by the mysterious High Epic Regalia, Babylon Restored is flooded and miserable, but David is sure it's the path that will lead him to what he needs to find. Entering a city oppressed by a High Epic despot is risky, but David's willing to take the gamble. Because killing Steelheart left a hole in David's heart. A hole where his thirst for vengeance once lived. Somehow, he filled that hole with another Epic--Firefight. And now he will go on a quest darker and even more dangerous than the fight against Steelheart to find her, and to get his answers.

Sanderson continues his "Epic" series without any let up. Nonstop action along with a great cast of characters, makes this entry in the series as strong as the first. And Sanderson continues to provide a great conclusion to the story, while opening the way for the next volume.

This is the sequel to the bestseller Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson. This book is about the Reckoners going to Babylon Restored (New York) to stop Megan, Regina, and Obliteration, 3 powerful epics. I read the book and finished yesterday. James Dashner said about this book "The suspense was relentless and the climax explosive" I agree with Dashner. This is a thriller that will have you on the edge of your seats. I am looking forwad for the final book Calamity

Return to the world of the reckoners in this EPIC :) read.

After the fall of Steelheart an Epic named Regalia from modern day New York begins sending Epics after Prof`s team. Annoyed Prof, Tia, and David go to New York where they discover a world they never would have thought existed.

I thought this was an amazing second book in an amazing series with an ending I don`t think anyone saw coming (except maybe Regalia).

This book is really good! I think the first book is a tad better, but that's just my opinion. I can't wait for calamity to come out I am so hyped.

This book was spectacular! I thought 'Steelheart' was awesome but this book blow me away. The characters kept me hooked the whole time and the plot twists kept me on the edge of my set and the ending was NOT what I expected! Brandon Sanderson is a master storyteller indeed!

If I could give more than five stars, I would. Firefight outshines Steelheart in every way, expanding on the "magic" system and world. Characters introduced in the first book are given new dimensions, and David's metaphors are in top form.

This was a great book. I think I liked it even more than the first book to this series. I just wished I didn't have to wait so long till the next book in the series comes out!

Another great book by Brandon Sanderson! This book reveals a lot more about Epics, the "magic" system, and how things here are related to Brandon's Cosmos (I'm pretty sure this trilogy is related, but correct me if I remembered wrong haha).

We learn a lot more about Firefight and Prof in this book with more insight on their characters, values, and histories. Lots of action will keep you reading right till the end.

FAVOURITE BOOK IN EXISTENCE!
You must read this. MUST MUST MUST! A great sequel to Steelheart. Brandon Sanderson paints a story with a weak villian who is actually the strongest of his villians yet. Regalia is incredibly well developed, and I don't regret to say that she is one of my favourite characters. That said, Firefight's character has been revealed more in a suspenseful, jaw-dropping, I-did-not-see-that-coming way that I can't help but love. David is presented with even worse metaphors (which I don't think anyone thought was possible). Can't wait for Calamity!

The Reckoners Trilogy has never been better. The author's characters are clearly, colorfully depicted, their relationships likewise stenciled, the effect being masterful drama and rather likely to elicit one or two squees and tears, which culminates in a dramatic conclusion. I took a leisurely fifteen minutes to rant and rave about that conclusion.

Brilliant writing, heartfelt emotion, and amazing action makes this into a frightfully good novel.
