This is a quite entertaining trilogy-opening Regency romance. The hero and heroine are very well-matched, and some secrets of the hero's (learned late in the book) make the characteristics of the typical romance hero - brooding, mysterious - actually make a lot of sense in terms of his characterization, which I found refreshing. The story is also peppered with interesting supporting characters, meaning I'll be picking up the other books in the trilogy very soon.
