Omer, a handsome Turkish party boy, Abed, a pious Moroccan, and Piyu, a food-loving Spaniard, share a house while studying in Massachusetts. Omer falls in love with the neurotic vegan lesbian Gail; Abed, a consummate worrier, cures his nightmares by watching slasher films; Piyu is awestruck by his girlfriend's cooking, but unaware of a related secret she harbours. Together, the three experience love, exile, and a lack of cultural identity as they forge ahead with their lives and relationships in a new land, confronting their greatest joys alongside their worst nightmares.
