I gave this a one star rating for the interesting architecture, otherwise it is not worth watching. Falcon is addicted to drugs, something he dissolves in water. Other characters are needle dependent addicts. Throw in a pedophile, lots of killers, a few steamy sex scenes and that is the movie. A lot of very gruesome scenes, mediocre acting. I don't know if I fell asleep and missed something but the ending left much to be desired.

Everyone is very tormented, including the detective. Gruesome too.

Very mediocre acting. Take the time and read Robert Wilson's books.

These two episodes are based on two of Robert Wilson's books, which are set in Spain, The first one takes place in Seville during the Semana Santa, Holy Week, so there are scenes of the processions as backdrop to the plot. I think too much is assumed by the director so that the plots seem somewhat muddled, and the answer to "Why?" isn't all that clear. Nevertheless, I'm glad for the scenery and the attempt to put some of Wilson's book on screen.

We could summon up the patience to watch only the first episode. Perhaps other ones have different directors, but here the director wielded an annoyingly heavy hand as he showed a determination to let you know that he had been to film school and could therefore shoot unfocused frames to key in images from the past, etc. It is overacted by some decent people who can't really do otherwise when faced with the dreadful dialogue (and music). Not even tolerable as an entertainment - the visuals of Seville are the only mitigating factor.

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. Not too bad---good performance.

Falcon is a two episode crime drama based on the books by Robert Wilson. In the first episode Chief Inspector Javier Falcon has secrets from his past that haunt him in the present when two of his late father's friends are tortured and murdered. As the episode unfolds Falcon learns some unsavory facts about his father, his father's friends and himself. Solving the murders becomes the least of Falcon's problems. In the second episode criminals from the Pinochet coup are murdered in Seville. Falcon discovers a cover up of the murders that gets him suspended and so he must try and solve the murders on his own. The second episode has several loathsome characters as well as some gruesome scenes. The two Falcon episodes were originally produced for a 2012 television series.

I loved this and hope that the library will get additional seasons if available. Not as violent as some video games but definitely for adults.
