Can dignity be found in the undignified business of growing old? This book chronicles the outrage the awaits most of us - the body's betrayal and our own frustration at having to slowly disengage from the world. Kudos to Alvarez for telling it like it is - or will be - and for showing that there is nothing wrong with not liking it one little bit. The world is a beautiful place and it will be a shame to leave it. Ah, truth!
