I actually thought the story was very unpredictable. Like the old story of a prince falling in love with a commoner, I thought this was going to be a story of a princess falling in love with a commoner boy. The book was well written, for during the masquerade dance of Dandier and Rhis, I felt her falling in love and I shared her feelings.
Overall, it was a good book. It was long and took a long time to get interesting in chapter 12, but I understand that the author needed to build the relationship between the two main romantic characters.

I read this in a single afternoon, I loved it. It was a little bit predictable and I felt more time could have been spent on the ending, but I enjoyed the characters and the story.
