Seems to me the theme of quilting got added on to make the book more marketable. Once you've read the book, you wonder why it got included at all. Emma (Trixie Lynn) is coerced to join a quilting group when she arrives in Twilight. So what? It's not relevant to the main story being told. Apart from the club, these people don't connect in any way.

The rest of the story, that of Emma (Trixie Lynn) returning to Twilight and back into Sam Cheek's like is boring, predictable and full of meaningless dialogue. I skipped whole pages without losing track of the story. And talk about stepping away from reality to try and make the story interesting. The author should know that anything in Texas is a skip and hop away from LA. Why would a production company have to move to Texas from LA to make it easier for Emma to have a relationship with Sam? Well, in The True Love Quilting Club, Emma is that lucky in having such unlikely scenarios come her way.
