Everyone should watch this film at least once. Come on, it's only 75 minutes long! The extra scenes included in the DVD's bonus features are worth watching as well.
Felt a little propaganda-ish to me. Happiness - from everyone in this film - comes from feeling connected to people and space. This does not mean we all have to live on top of each other, etc. This felt Agenda 21. I love people, but living with them...many of them...all the time....would kill me. It's connectedness. Sort of like the difference between quantity and quality.
What actually human life is about has been explained in this authentic documentary. Shocking, provoking, hopeful and enlightening. The most interesting was the fact that Gov of Bhutan focuses not on economic development but on human happiness. You will learn that the happiest people are those who are closely supported by friends and family. You will learn other jem-like information on how to live a long and happy live and evidenced by multiple scientific researches around the world. A must watch movie in my books.
Fun to watch. This could be an ongoing series because we can always find different examples of how other cultures and people find happiness. As a documentary, it felt a bit sparse and arbitrary... I wanted to see more. Still a fun and informative film — you can't help but smile throughout.
Examples of happiness from around the world. Very interesting.
Very interesting look at what makes people happy around the world. Informative, entertaining, interesting and inspiring... well worth a watch.
Inspiring stories. I already have learned much of what I saw in the DVD but that is not a critique of the DVD. It was just not mind-blowing information for myself. If most of us here in North America subscribe to the money/possessions make you happy (which I doubt) then the DVD may be surprising. However, most of us will either already know and/or personally felt many of these ideas explained in this DVD. I do give the DVD a thumbs up because I always enjoy seeing personal stories of strength, adversity and happiness.....
