"This is where I'm going," [Shauzia] said, more to herself than to Jasper. "And to get there, first I have to be here."

Add a CommentI liked the story, but Shauzia is SO annoying to read about.
I liked the plot and the story of this book. it was alright, but children in ages 8 - 10 would find it more enjoyable.
I really liked this book because of the conflicts that the main character went through. Although it was a good book, I think that the main character was a little too sassy and bossy, but I really like her dog.
Great conclusion to this great novel series. I found myself talking about it for a year or two after i read it. I was even referring to it a couple times. Great work from Deborah Ellis!
i can not wait to read it i am going to get it tomorow
the whole series was so good and awesome. my teacher first introduced me the book at school and she corrupted me!!!(which is a good thing) this book was so interesting and detailed i keep rereading it over and over! i really think you should read this awesome book.shauzia's life kept turning and she was so used to her ways she didn't know how to live modernly! i have to say is..... THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!
The book itself is all right, but my gosh Shauzia annoys me.
I really liked this book, but I was a bit sad it was all about Shauzia
Shauzia was one of my favourite characters in the first book and now a book all about her life.
The third book in the trilogy by Ellis concerning child war survivors in afghanistan... the first two are The Breadwinner and Parvana's Journey. This is another winner by Deborah Ellis...suitable for tweens.
