What if charisma could be taught?

For the first time, science and technology have taken charisma apart, figured it out and turned it into an applied science: In controlled laboratory experiments, researchers could raise or lower people's level of charisma as if they were turning a dial.

What you'll find here is practical magic: unique knowledge, drawn from a variety of sciences, revealing what charisma really is and how it works. You'll get both the insights and the techniques you need to apply this knowledge. The world will become your lab, and every person you meet, a chance to experiment.

The Charisma Myth is a mix of fun stories, sound science, and practical tools. Cabane takes a hard scientific approach to a heretofore mystical topic, covering what charisma actually is, how it is learned, what its side effects are, and how to handle them.

A practical book to get better on how to handle different personal and professional situations with charisma. This skill (as other) can be learned and improved with practice and takes advantage of the malleability present in all humans. Without delving too much into the psychology behind charisma, the author offers tips, insights and exercises Ono how to start practicing little actions that produce charisma.

The book touches multiple topics such as body language, voice, visualization and metal models. Each chapters its devoted to one of these. This is good material to get you started on charisma, and there are many other that can help you dig deeper into the practice of all these traits that contribute to this skill.

This book was alright. I gave it a 3.5/5 stars. It had some useful tips and some practical advice, but it also had a few rather bizarre and unhelpful tips (such as "imagine people have angel wings" which I found hard to take seriously). Overall it was decent. Gets boring / dry about halfway through. Ended up just skimming the last 2 chapters.

Beware of a book promoted with buzz terms, as is this one.

Read the subtitle and the Description with your eye on the lookout for the stem scien-.
