Unusual writing style (of course translated, so difficult to know what it would have been like in the original) and a curious tale altogether. I noticed there's a sequel but I'm not sure I'll bother. I did enjoy this, but I can't take too much of books with a flat affect - I need to be able to feel with the characters more deeply.
