Gabriel and Shay are convinced that they can make their relationship work. Knowing that Shay is half-vampire, Gabriel thinks that his coven will embrace her as one of their own, but instead they view her as an abomination, a thing that doesn't belong in either world. And they want her dead. Now Gabriel must make the ultimate decision - watch his love be killed by his coven or defy the people closest to him, the people he has spent centuries with to save her.

i was very disappointing by this book...i read the 1st one and i thought it was so great i loved every bit of crave. This book however was terrible SPOILER ALERT! What made her so special was that she was a half human half vamp and when she is turned into a regular vampire i just about stopped reading the book all together not to mention i just didnt think it stood very well on its own at all. Then at the last minute there is this dramatic turn of events that i felt was so extremely unrealistic of the story thus far. horrible, horrible because of the potential this plot carried and was just squandered.
