We all want to be remembered. Charlotte's destiny is to be forgotten.

Charlotte's best friend thinks Charlotte might be psychic. Her boyfriend thinks she's cheating on him. But Charlotte knows what's really wrong: She is one of the Forgotten, a kind of angel on earth who feels the Need--a powerful, uncontrollable draw to help someone, usually a stranger.

But Charlotte never wanted this responsibility. What she wants is to help her best friend, whose life is spiraling out of control. She wants to lie in her boyfriend's arms forever. But as the Need grows stronger, it begins to take a dangerous toll on Charlotte. And who she was, is, and will become--her mark on this earth, her very existence--is in jeopardy of disappearing completely.

Charlotte will be forced to choose: Should she embrace her fate as a Forgotten, a fate that promises to rip her from the lives of those she loves forever? Or is she willing to fight against her destiny--no matter how dark the consequences?

Story captivates you from the beginning. Lovely main character. However, wish the author would not introduce pre-marital sex having such an impressionable audience.

This book was amazing! I started tearing at the end, since it was so sad >.< But Charlotte was strong up to the end and sacrificed her life for many people instead of going to the Shadows. This book shows that there are people in life who would help without any reason.

Beautifully written. I liked the story line, and the characters felt relatable.

This is a book that really shows the reader how much of youself you can give to another person. The main character Charlotte doesn't have a choice when it comes to helping other people. Her gift is so sweet and kind. A gift most other people should have to help other people without the need to get something in return. Most people should learn from this character that helping people should be out of kindness and not out of reward. Great job :) I loved it. This book is totally worth reading. :)
