Three unlikely allies team up for a night of rebellion, romance, and revenge in a high-stakes dramedy from acclaimed young author Abby McDonald.

They've spent years at the same high school without speaking a word to one another, but that's all about to change. Popular Bliss was having the perfect prom until she found her BFF and boyfriend making out in the back of a limo. Bad girl Jolene wouldn't be caught dead at the prom, yet here she is, trussed up in pink ruffles, risking her reputation for some guy - some guy who is forty minutes late. And shy, studious, über-planner Meg never counted on her date's standing her up and leaving her idling in the parking lot outside the prom. Get ready for The Anti-Prom, Abby McDonald's hilarious, heart-tugging tale about three girls and one unforgettable prom night.

What happens when you take a bunch of stock characters and stick them in a car? A bit of fun, a bit predictable, and a nice light read.

good revenge story. Teaches people that even ifit feels right at the time, you'll have to pay for your own actions.

What better way to make new friendships than to go on madcap adventures on prom night! Bliss, Jolene, and Meg have no way of knowing how much they will have changed by the end of the night. Each girl has her own worries and agenda but it's only by depending on each other and learning about each other's strengths and faults that they avoid the worst consequences of their actions. I like how the author deftly broke down the stereotypes of the popular girl, the bad girl, and the invisible girl. There is of course way more to each of these girls than their outward appearances and actions. I also appreciate the author for not sugarcoating how teens party especially on prom night. I laughed out loud numerous times and teared up as the girls finally broke down and accepted each other. I forsee that they will be friends forever now! Definitely going to check out Abby's other YA book!

This was a good book, a bit sterotyped with the different types of characters (perhaps too much) but fun to read.
