The first part of this book is really dull. It all comes alive when "he" and Kaminsky go on a road trip. Even then it all seems a bit foggy with no real goal. Pretty much a futile exercise for someone who had no clue how, after writing the first sentence, to write something anywhere close to a good story. I gave it 3 out of 5 only because of the pseudo road trip. Even in that section he could have done much better. So what's the deal with Kehlmann? I really don't know. It's my second book of his. And the first was not much better. Will I continue reading him. What do you think?
