This is a solid, hard-boiled detective novel, 4th in a series, but the first to be translated. It is set in Frankfurt, Germany, and the protagonist is of Turkish descent. Thus racism and the struggles of new immigrants underpins the novel and provides an interesting, and realistic portrayal of German society. But this is still a detective story, strong in plot, and moves at a good pace.
