I'm not one for electric books so I was fortunate to come across a real, on paper type copy of this book. Here's what it's about.
So why are you the way you are? Why is your spouse the way he or she is? Why are your kids the way they are? Leman's answer? Birth order. First born? Last born? Middle child or children. Yup. All this has a mega-effect on how you turned out. Bookish and obedient little-adult first born; show-offish and risk taking last born forever the baby.
The Birth Order Book might almost be the jumping-off point for an entertaining board game or an evening's fun as an amusing parlour entertainment.
However it is more than that. In the best tradition of the kinda-folksy gee-whizz kind of self-help book Dr. Leman serves up all kinds of insights that might help you to understand and perhaps even manage your children, your siblings and even your spouse.
By turns amusing and insightful this well written book is fun to read. Can you find Waldo? Can you find yourself in this book?

I just finished the whole audio book. Yes, some of it repeats, but the last few chapters are really good, going more into detail about what traits each position is responsible, and why we sometimes which functional positions. It also recommends why certain birth orders are good for marriage partners for you depending on your birth order. It is very interesting, and I recommend it if you are a deep thinker and want to know why you are the way you are. 5*

Well, maybe I shouldn't be reviewing, since I didn't finish it, but I guess this is my opinion, so here goes. This subject has always intrigued me, being the middle of five, but I felt like I learned everything I needed to know in the first couple discs, and then everything was repetitive, repetitive, repetitive. Was there more... I don't know, I got bored and got extremely tired of the author honking his own horn. Wow, he thinks quite highly of himself and all that he has accomplished with respect to this subject matter. I may look for the book to see if there truly was any more substance. I wasn't crazy about the narrator either.
