I picked up this book expecting a fluff read about a big-city girl trying to adjust to a small town. What I got instead was a close look at what lies beneath the glamorous surface of Hollywood life and the damage it does to the child stars who grow up in that culture. Morgan, or rather "Claudia" is a believable and relatable protagonist who chronicles her struggles to adapt and stay sober. This book tackled many issues, including addiction, sexual assault, and the heavy weight of fame. I am certainly glad I picked up this book, as I flew through it in an afternoon.

After reading tons of "Hollywood Fiction," as I like to call it, this is one of the better ones. It actually deals with a child star who is sobering up from drugs and alcohol, while most Hollywood Fiction tends to ignore. It was a quick read, only 260 pages, but it was a good one, and I enjoyed it alot. One thing I noticed is TONS of commas were missing throughout the book, so it looks like this book wasn't edited very well. But I liked it, it's a good beach read!

Sexual Content: The charecter is dealing with a secret she has been holding, the fact that a Hollywood star raped her on the set of a movie they were shooting together.

Other: Lots of drug references, alcohol references. The book explains that the charecter is trying to get sober, but it talks about her overdose and her past drug use, with lots of drug names dropped throughout the book.
