The Last Refuge

[a Tale of Money and Murder in the Hamptons Featuring Sam Acquillo]

DAISY - 2008
Rate this:
Sam Acquillo is a drop-out: divorced, an ex-corporation man, estranged from his daughter, happy to do odd jobs for his neighbour Regina and drink himself into oblivion. But when he finds Regina's body facedown in her tub, he decides to become the executor of her estate. Sam soon uncovers suspicious facts, people, and circumstances that lead him to think Regina's death was not a case of just another octogenarian meeting her maker naturally. Some descriptions of sex, violence, and explicit strong language.
