I really enjoy this movie every time TH watches it. It's a nice little story about fathers, sons and the stories we tell ourselves to make it through life. The story of an absent father telling tall tales to make life seem better for his family whom he missed so much while earning a living. What's true and not true become irrelevant at some point in life. Sit back and enjoy this little gem.

yes, I think supporting actors are interesting enough. Some aren't so good, like blank stares from a wall left with out emotions, but if you can act it wouldn't be harder to join in on the fun and excitement. My oopps sorry mis typo is the best bit of the bunch. She is brilliant and who knew she would look soooo beautiful at the piano. knock out beauty and talent. forever

Not the greatest movies but it was somewhat entertaining and occasionally funny. Albert Finney has seen better times. The plot is too predictable.

Big Fish tells of the stories of a father, who is about to die. The son, who never knew much about his own dad, learns more about him in the last few days. The movie itself was interesting and full of action. It was emotional at the end. A good movie, but I enjoyed the book more.

Strange movie consisting of bizarre short stories of (e.g.) a witch, a giant, a bad poet/bank robber, a fish that's seen as a naked woman, a town full of 'Stepford Wives' people, conjoined twins, etc... all awkwardly intended to be the life story of the dying father. This 2003 film was undoubtedly influenced by Tim Burton's father's passing three years prior. I typically enjoy his eccentric film making very much, which is why I selected it. This one just didn't 'gel' for me. It felt like a departure too far off the deep end.

Whats not to love about this modern day tale? By far one of the best I have seen. Action, Comedy, Drama, Romance, these are just some of the genres that come to mind when watching. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
The plot revolves around William Bloom (played by Billy Crudup) trying to come to terms with his weak and dying father, Edward Bloom. (Played by Albert Finney and Ewan McGregor) and having not spoken to each other for nearly three years, William decides to visit his father, who is slowly dieing from the struggles of Cancer. William struggles to learn about his father, a talented soul for telling stories, but filled with anger, William fears these stories are nothing but lies.
It's extraordinary plot and many side stories (all with a purpose) will keep you entertained for hours on end.
Directed by Tim Burton, his style of fiction and out of this world adventures are really shown in 'Big Fish.'
Even if you don't think this is your type of movie, you may be pleasantly surprised.
This larger than life adventure is good for everyone, and I would defiantly recommend it to you.
