Ann Purser (thanks to my curiosity) is my favorite in the murder-mystery genre, not that I really indulge in such books very often.

I'm aware of authors like Agatha Christie and I tried reading Ruth Rendell but Ann Purser is more accessible for me than Ruth. Ann reminds me of Maeve Binchy for her knack in making characters and situations interesting, even in small towns or villages.

The settings in England(?) and the life lived there also draws me in.

This English village mystery is one of the Lois Meade mystery series. Lois is a working-class heroine who acts as eyes and ears for Chief Inspector Cowgill.

The author has written books for each day of the week in their titles.

An enjoyable read - hard to put down !
