"Every Brilliant Eye", first published in1986, is the sixth novel in the series. When their crime beat reporter goes missing, a newspaper hires hardboiled private eye Amos Walker. The reporter also happens to be Walker's friend.
Amos Walker interrogates a suspect by choking him with a telephone cord in a public place. I like his tactic. I would rate "Every Brilliant Eye" at 4.25 stars.
