This is the omnibus edition. The first book in the series (The Black Company) is pretty good. The second book is disappointing and the third is mediocre. I think the author rushed the last two books.

Thing I like about this book is it is a story of common men in a magical world. The soldiers of the Black Company are good at what they do, but they are not heroes, or villains. They are men.
The names of the evil wizards are also pretty good.
