Living through the last stages of leukemia, Sam wants to know facts. Facts about UFO's, ghosts, airships, what it feels like to kiss a girl. Sam is full of questions that nobody wants to answer, and he doesn't have much time left. In the multiple hanky tradition of classic tearjerkers, this moving and ultimately uplifting account of a boy's final months is impossible to read with a dry eye. Written as a collection of journal entries, lists, questions, and photographs, Sam's story answers one question on its own: What matters most when every minute counts?

This was a really good book. It made me question the real values in life through the eyes of an 11-year-old. It was just amazing. And the film based on it was very close to the book. :)

At first I wasn't sure I was going to like this book - I was a bit sceptical. As I read on, though, I found it very touching and very sensitively rendered. Told from the POV of an eleven-year-old who is dying of leukemia, it won me over completely with its delicate introduction of secondary themes of hope and peace in the face of death.

I don't remember how I came to own the book, but I loved it. I eventually read this book 3 or 4 times, until I moved and had to give it away. I would reccomend this book for everyone :)

One of the best books I've ever read. It was so inspiring and made me wonder about things about life and death. One thing I love about this book was that once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. There was not one dull moment in my opinion. The ending was simply amazing as well. My thanks to the author.

awww, I'm famous for only crying once over a book--when Gandalf died in LOTR. But this book got me really close. I've been fascinated by leukemia for a long time because I had a close brush with it a long time ago. This is a really good book. :) Read it!

The story of a boy with leukemia. He knows he won't live for long. He's got a list of things to do before he dies. Some of them seem impossible. Will he manage to do them all?
