Some of the songs have aged well and still sound fresh - others....not sure how they reached the top of the charts. The classics are worth listening to anytime. Two highlights for me, songs I had forgotten - “Love or something like it” and the duet with Dottie West of “What are we doing in love.” Just plain fun songs.

With the combined sales of his records exceeding 150 million copies, worldwide - Kenny Rogers (a multiple award-winner) is noted for being one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Born in Houston, Texas (in 1938) - Rogers (now 77 years old) became interested in becoming a musician in the late-1950's.

This "Best Of" CD contains 21 hit songs, in all, which were recorded by Rogers (along with accompanying musicians) in the years between 1976-1999..... 3 of my very favourite tunes in this compilation are - Islands In The Stream (duet with Dolly Parton), Through The Years, and We've Got Tonight (duet with Sheena Easton)....
