1001 More High Performance Tech TipsBook - 2004
1001 More High Performance Tech Tips is a sequel to Wayne Scraba's bestselling 1001 High Performance Tech Tips. His first was a collection of brief, informative how-to tips from performance experts designed for the enthusiast or racer. The second volume also targets the same racer or enthusiast, but the tips are all different. Not only does it contain sections on engines, transmissions, drivetrains, bodywork, interior, fuel systems, and electrical, it also includes a large section devoted to shop tips, techniques, and secrets. Additionally, two chapters are devoted to "track time" and hand tools. Each section contains hundreds of tips that are geared toward specific areas of your car, truck, or other high performance project. As an example, the Shop section contains charts depicting exact drill sizes, suggestions on determining edge margins, assembling A-N hose, determining the right clamp for the job, what to look for in welds, torque conversion tables, and much more. In the Wheel & Tire section, you'll find tips on determining proper wheel stud size, determining tire rollout, balancing slicks, deciphering tire speed ratings, and so on. More than 400 black-and-white photos along with numerous graphs, charts, and line drawings are used to illustrate many of the tips. Like the first book, it's a handy reference tool that can provide hands-on quick solutions to nagging problems. It can also help to make your car quicker, faster, easier to work on, and yes, better looking! Book jacket.
