Such great collection of Christmas stories, inspiring and heart-warming. I have read them for two Christmas and had different favorites. Last Christmas, I also gave it to my 14 yr. daughter to read it. She loved it as well and suggested me to buy the book as Christmas gifts, which I am going to do this year.

Very enjoyable collection of Christmas-themed novellas by one of the better writers of historical romance. I particularly enjoyed the second story, The Star of Bethlehem, which contained some of the elements often contained in Ms. Balogh's stories: reserved and seemingly cold hero, a lively but sensitive heroine...deeply in love but at odds with each other. A touch of bittersweetness in all of her writings and a level of maturity that's too often lacking in other stories in this genre.

In this book, Mary Balough presents a collection of Christmas short stories. This appealed to me because I enjoyed her small book "A matter of Class" but I have read a few of her full length novels and I felt they contained alot of "filler" - alot of repetitive blah blah blah. I enjoyed this collection, especially the first story - a warm Christmas story.
