Its awkward to rate this: its a pleasure to watch (especially if you done a little study of the cinematic arts), but its ridiculous. The ridiculousness stems from the wild gunfight scenes, the lovemaking scenes including girlfriend beating and eventually girlfriend murdering (there's rather a lot of nudity), down to the weird last third of the film with strong homoerotic overtones. Its the extraordinary uses of camera angles and various lengths of shots that make it so interesting to watch.

i like to think that russ meyer saw this movie and it made him feel like he wasn't trying hard enough. this is at least as good as "faster pussycat, kill, kill." well, maybe, if you don't need your movies to be linear. i love this, but completely understand why nikkatsu fired suzuki.
ten thumbs up!

More of an artifact of cinema of this era just trying to push the boundaries. Far too far out for the average hipster to appreciate.

I gotta say; this motion picture gave me much deeper insights into Woody Allen's What Up Tiger Lilly.
