Amazing B-movie from '79. Saw this as a kid and enjoyed it more than Star Wars!

I wasn't expecting it to be a great move, but it was enjoyable to watch once. I was good for a few laughs. If you like B-rated sci-fi moves, I would suggest giving it a chance.

A hilarious and blatant Italian rip-off of "Star Wars," produced by Roger Corman and starring Christopher Plummer, David Hasselhoff, a jive talking robot and Caroline Munro's cleavage. A fun drinking game is take a shot every time in steals from "Star Wars" or Munro looks hot (she spends much of the movie in a leather bikini) and tries to act. To be fair, it rips off Harryhausen too. Fun fact: Munro was a Bond girl and composer John Barry scored numerous Bond films. This makes "Flash Gordon" seem like "2001." Loaded with extras.

I agree with the previous comments, it's a bad movie. But I like the old grade-B horror/sci-fi movies and this fit the bill perfectly. I may never watch it again, but the one viewing was just what I wanted at the time. Proceed with caution. And/or alcohol.

I saw this movie in the theater when I was but a lad. I loved it. I remembered it very fondly. I hadn't seen it since. This puppy is darn near unwatchable. I couldn't even laugh (much) about how bad it was. Would excel as a Mystery Science Theater 3000 flick. A total Corman Classic, but without the exploitation. Could be fun if a drinking game could be established, but there are way better romps to set an evening of boozing to. Skip it or at least be prepared for the worst.

Sci-Fi - a "b" movie but on the lower side of the scale, costumes, technology, script... However the oldest thing I've seen David Hasselhoff in which surprised me. Perhaps "night rider" came after this.
