Humanity has been all but destroyed by a fungal disease that eradicates free will and turns its victims into flesh-eating 'hungries'. Only a small group of children seem to be immune to its effects. At an army base in rural England, these unique children are being studied and subjected to cruel experiments. When the base falls, one little girl escapes and must discover what she is, ultimately deciding both her own future and that of the human race.

This is another poorly made zombie movie.

I'm not a huge fan of zombie flicks, but watched this with my husband (who is). Pretty interesting plot, cool zombies and the ending was great! Pure entertainment!

An imaginative and re-freshing for a zombie movie. Well played characters with some depth from actors and actresses, such as Paddy Considine (Bourne Ultimatum; The Worlds End), Glen Close (Guardians of the Galaxy; Fatal Attraction), Gemma Arterton (Clash of the Titans; Quantam of Solace) and most of all, the young main character played by Sennia Nanua.
Well worth the watch.

A unique story line - and zombies that run fast (more terrifying). Sennia Nanua (that's how it's spelled on the DVD , it's spelled a number of different ways on the internet), as the child zombie "Melanie", is awesome. A simple look on her face speaks volumes. Unfortunately it falls apart at the end. If "Melanie" herself struggled with not eating her beloved teacher when she was hungry - and there is precious little, if anything, left for zombies to eat (turning everybody into a zombie was not the smartest move) - how will all the other zombies cope? They're certainly smart enough to figure out how to get in....

I hope a positive rating from a zombiemovie-aphobe does not count against this film. It's not a spoiler to say "teachers rule", is it? Sennia Nanua is mesmerizing and memorable. Excuse me, now I must go to watch cats chatter at unsuspecting animals in the backyard...

Terrible.

The Girl With All The Gifts is transformed off the page of a book to the big screen with this riveting and suspenseful movie about a post-apocalyptic world with a twist.

I really enjoyed this movie ( I kept thinking about it for days later) and so has everybody that I know that has seen it. I liked the different take at the end. This is one movie I'll watch again.

This was an interesting take on a "zombie" flick, or in this case, "hungries". It pulled me in enough to watch it from start to finish, and it even impressed me in some places. The parts, however, that I resented were the two negative animal scenes, and the ending. Other than that, its a pretty decent flick, especially if you like zombies. Glenn Close was great, too!

I LOVE zombie movies and this was no exception. There was a great twist to make a child the hero of the story. Definitely a must watch!
