Wesley Snipes' debut, Talon of God, is an enjoyable plot and dialog based "spiritual thriller" set in modern day Chicago. Reminding you a lot of a better episode of Supernatural crossed with ER, the writing is clockwork competent (and probably the work of co-writer Ray Norman?) with building suspense. The "theology" and psychological messages are feel good pat, heavy on religious feeling while unorthodox in interpretation. Those not turned off by that in either direction will be entertained.
