Batman encounters a new foe - who turns out to be someone from his past. A good introduction to the "Red Hood" storyline for people new to the Batman mythos. Definitely not for kids!

For purist, this is just a DC retread and money grab. For those who don't follow the comics, this is a dark and very well done stand alone movie. Depending on which side you fall into, it's your choice to berate or praise. I fall in the latter.

Time and again, when it comes to the likes of superhero movies (whether they be live-action or animation) it never seems to fail that their stories all tend to be so simple-minded and predictable.

And, believe me, "Batman: Under The Red Hood" here was certainly no exception to this rule. This film literally bordered on the very edge of being downright dumb and brain-dead.

As I watched this unbelievably tiresome "Batman" movie I found that I was repeatedly asking myself - "Haven't I already seen this same old junk before?" - (And the answer to that question was - Yes, I have - About a thousand times before).

This animated feature film may have been only 75 minutes in length, but (trust me) it was one of the dreariest 75 minutes that I've ever spent watching any superhero movie in a mighty long time.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this movie! It was a bit dark for what I think a Batman movie would be, but it was still very good. Phenomenal voice work by all of the actors!

As a staff member at the Blaine Library I always come across items that pique my interest including this one, and it definitely delivered!

The DVD is all scratched up and won't play. I will report it as defective and hopefully the library will get a new copy in circulation.

Cool story, voice acting and animation.

Its a darker story -- not suited for younger kids. Has a bit of violence not suited for younger children. I'd say 13-14 at the youngest.

I like the movie but I wouldn't let my nephews watch because its PG-13. I don't understand why they would make a batman movie which by the way this movie is a cartoon with so much violence too many people died. I liked the movie but didn't care for the violence

Violence: This video starts with the Joker beating a teenage Jason Todd with a crowbar. It doesn't go up from there.
