In the 1980s, Victor DeNoble was a research scientist at a major tobacco company, where he was tasked with finding a substitute for nicotine that would not cause heart attacks. He succeeded- but in the process, he proved something that the industry had been denying for years: that cigarettes were addictive. He also uncovered a new addictive ingredient- setting off a chain of events that still reverberates even today.

Whether you are addicted to nicotine, or not - This anti-smoking documentary is certainly well-worth a view for all that it brings to light in regards to cigarette fixation and the misleading role that the tobacco companies have taken in all of this "health hazardous" controversy.

In "Addiction Incorporated" we meet research scientist, Victor DeNoble who (while working for Philip Morris Inc. back in 1980) discovered that nicotine was highly addictive (and, yet, his employers sought to suppress this important find and not inform the public).

I certainly hope that a documentary like this one will wake a lot of smokers up and seriously encourage them to kick this nasty habit for good.

(*Familiar cigarette-smoker's quote*) - "Cough! Cough! Cough! Cough! Cough! Wheeze! Wheeze!"

When it comes to the dangerously harmful and highly-addictive properties of nicotine in cigarettes - I believe that we are all very aware that the tobacco companies had continually lied to the public about this reality for years, and years.

And, even though this "Health Crisis" documentary really doesn't bring anything new to the table about cigarette addiction - I think that it still serves as a thoughtful reminder to us all about the serious health dangers that are unavoidable when one inhales this product's poisonous smoke deep into their lungs..... ("Cough! Cough! Cough! Cough! Cough!")
