Unleashed is a story revolving around the two-sided life of a boy named Jace, who detests the richness and high status of the family he is born into. While hiding his own secret life and protecting his brother, Jace needs to unveil truths with the help of two girls whom he is not sure he can trust. The events in the story portray Jace as a person with a bold personality and good inner qualities, making him a likable character. The first few pages of the book are filled with a hooking introduction that captured my interest. Although the story is short and fairly easy to get through, I expected the climax to reach a greater height. Overall, Sigmund Brouwer has written the story in an engaging way alongside creating a moderately mysterious mood. Unleashed would be suitable for those who enjoy reading quick-ending suspense/revenge stories. 4/5 Stars
