Serious waste of time. Please consider reading before borrowing.
My first review comment was filed to private after I wrote about the non-consensual ghost 'rhymes-with-grape' act of interscourse that is engaged in. I hope this leaves many a person turning off the movie when you consider that these are actors portraying teens, a seriously gross prospect to consider as how does an actor find motivation in such a scene? How does a director council actors in this instance? How is this good plot, except as a reflection of how disturbing the overall scenario is? Is this the lead in to how you start a conversation with kids about consent? What the heck, but I digress. Seriously that is the biggest plot twist in this bad bad horror movie. Ghost 'g-rape'. Put that on a resume burgeoning actors.
I'm a fan of horror and even have an appreciation of well considered campiness or kitsch as a directing style. I hate to see William Shatner in a movie that doesn't use his talents, but for the cliche of 'over acting' in a bad horror movie while using the star power he's still capable of to lend legitimacy to a project. I suppose a paycheck is a pay check even if the art is soul-less. Maybe I have a higher standard about such things, I dunno. That one review further down at 4 stars is a ridiculous take, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Even, yes, bad ones.
I cautioned, watch at your own risk.

Not sure if this is one story or meant to be disconnected stories. If it is one continuous story then it is about mental illness. If it is not about mental illness then it really does not make a lot of sense even for a horror story. Not sure how i feel about this movie.

While I'd say a lot of horror anthologies can be hits (creepshow, trick r treat & vault of horror) or misses (ABCs of death, XX, Holidays), A Christmas Horror Story would overall is a success with varying stories. From worst to best, I'd start with the segment with the trapped students which was just to boring and drawn to be as scary as it could have been while the one with the family being chased by krampus, which was well acted & written and had a decent twist, was actually rather brief and ended as quickly as it started. Then there's the one with the changleing which was a proper balance of suspense and creepiness and adriane Holmes and olunike adeleiyi both did great jobs of making you care about their characters & son and I would rate this as my favorite if it weren't for the final and best story where Santa does battle with krampus and his horde of zombie elves that starts with beautifully dark comedy, carries out with over-the-top gore and ends with an amazing twist you'll never see coming. Overall a decent little bit of spooky Christmas fun.

With Bill Shatner you just can't go wrong, plus a major holiday and you have a winner!

Contrary to the previous viewer's experience, I rather enjoyed this movie. It had your typical horror elements but it really was not that bad. I would give it a shot, at least.

a total waste of precious life time. Could be the worst film in the history of xmas. No scares, no thrills, no chills, NOTHING !..and definitely made NO SENSE.
