We've been successful with books on gluten-free cooking, vegetarian and vegan cooking, paleo, raw foods, and more. Our list includes French cooking, Swedish cooking, Austrian and German cooking, Cajun cooking, as well as books on jerky, canning and preserving, peanut butter, meatballs, oil and vinegar, bone broth, and more. I'm glad I didn't buy this cookbook. I rally like the other cookbooks in the "Fix IT and Forget IT' series, but this one, not so much. I tried a couple of the dessert recipes - a loaf cake and something else-neither cooked thoroughly. The load cake looked really good but was totally uncooked in the middle and I ended up throwing it out. I did not try any of the breads or pies. Most of the recipes require a 6-qt slow cooker, so if you don't have one of those, you are kind of out of luck.
