It's very dark in here. So turn on a light. I can't. Why not? This book is about night animals. It's supposed to be dark. How are we supposed to read it then? Flashlight?

It's a fun story. We really enjoyed the "comic book" style of the dialogue. Lots of opportunities to do voices and make the story your own. Fun to read!

Night Animals is a fantastic read-aloud! It had a room of kindergartners laughing as the animals make their way through their fears. Lovey, expressive illustrations and simple text make this a fun story to share.

Anyone who's ever been afraid of the dark (and what might lurk within it) can relate to Possum, who cowers inside a tree stump as night falls. When Skunk wanders by to ask why he's hiding, Possum's terrified response is "Night animals!" Soon Skunk is hiding along with him, and they're joined by a worried wolf and a cowardly bear before a brave bat finally comes along to set them straight.
