This otter is what children used to be like - imaginative and playful. Loved it! Children can dissect the pictures and learn to make things from everyday at home with their imagination.

SUMMARY: Otter keeper brings Otter and Teddy to a museum where he sees all sorts of cool stuff like dinosaur bones and old paintings. But most exciting to Otter is the space exhibit. They get to see a real moon rock. Otter wants to buy a moon rock as a souvenir, but Otter keeper only lets him buy one of the many things he wants. Once home, Otter decides to plan a trip to the moon in order to get a moon rock himself. Many funny things happen along the journey.

ILLUSTRATIONS: The illustrations were created digitally. They are colorful, detailed, and fun. I like the illustrations better than the first book because they are more clear with the just the right amount to fun details.

REVIEW: Otter is a hilarious character who has definite ideas about what he wants while he drags his stuffed teddy bear around (poor teddy). And Otter is quite ingenious about how to accomplish getting what he wants. There is a lot of fun and humor throughout the book. I want to know where I can get one of those patchwork giraffes? I love him too!

AGE RECOMMENDATION: The advertized age range of 4-8 is perfect since they will understand and enjoy the humor more fully

Otter is one of the most adorable characters ever. She's full of inquisitiveness, has the awareness level of a toddler, she's plush, and her whole body expresses her emotions. After a trip to the museum, Otter becomes fascinated with space. Otter Keeper bought her a rocket from the gift shop, but what good is a rocket without a moon rock!? Then it occurs to Otter that all she has to do is go to the moon and get one herself. So she and her stuffed toys set themselves to the task. They build a spaceship, mission control (spelled "mishun control" by Otter; delightful little details like this are in abundance), and a space suit, and then, blast off! Retrieving a moon rock is as easy as launching down a slide in a cardboard box and getting a stone from the backyard. Soft colours, and cuddly-looking designs maximize the cuteness level of this endearing story. The Otter books are an extension of the original blog, I Am Otter. In both cases, Sam Garton, aka Otter Keeper, writes in the voice of Otter about her everyday adventures, lessons, thoughts and feelings.

Very cute! I look forward to reading many more adventures of Otter and Teddy (and other rules that Otter Keeper will have to write on the refrigerator in the future!).
