"Boats belong on top of the waves, not beneath them. Wreaks speak of lost hopes, of wasted lives, of dreams that didn't survive the storm."

Missing children always have an impact on a community, but if your community is as small and isolated as the Falkland Islands you're left to wonder. Accidents or intent? Local, or tourist? You hope and pray for accidental death. Catrin knows about loss--her two children were killed in an accident some years ago and this has altered every aspect of her life--she wants revenge on her best friend, she sees the ghosts of her children, and she has lost her husband. Now she is suspected as children one by one disappear. She is hiding a secret, but it's not what people think. This is a well-written mystery suspense that keeps you guessing right up to the end. I'd love to recommend it to my family, but occasional profanity makes this difficult. Nevertheless, the author has created a compelling and engaging book that is hard to put down.
