Loved other books by this author, but the ending (after such a rather long and drawn out story) was a total disappointment for me. Just crazy! Did, however, enjoy learning so much about elephants.

This was quite the story. Picoult did a lot of research on elephants and the reader learns a lot, both about these animals in the wild and those in sanctuaries. Jenna’s search of her mother, who she feels abandoned her, brings together a…

I enjoyed all the information that was given on elephants. I found myself struggling to get through some of the pages as they intertwined. The physic part of this was an interesting add for the novel itself.. is it worth the read? Maybe to…

Not my favourite Picoult. Lots of interesting information about elephants, but the story got tied up around itself, and became confusing. Seemed like there was a sudden change of direction without much explanation leaving me wondering…

Definitely a page-turner. I started to piece it together but not until close to the end, and still couldn't quite figure it all out completely. I LOVED all the elephant education! It was fascinating and enlightening. The writing-style made…

This novel talks about a lot of comparisons between humans and elephants and how similar and different we are from them. Picoult uses this idea to relate to what the main character is going through. This book is about a young girl who…

I can’t recommend this book enough! I was in tears by the end. So beautifully written, and the ending is just jaw dropping. I can’t wait to read her other books.
An engaging story line, plus the added bonus (for me) of having all sorts of interesting elephant tales (pun intended) interwoven, since the main character is a scientist studying elephant behaviour. A great read.
I was disappointed in this story by Picoult. I love her books but this one was just ok for me.
Could be jut the mood I was in when I read it as I believe most loved it.

A hard book for me to rate - until the last 25 pages or so, I was considering giving a 5 star. This book had me on the edge of my seat wondering if they would find Alice dead or alive, I was totally unable to predict who'd killed Nevvie, I…

Ugh... this was the 2nd JP book I slogged through. I gamely tried JP again after my 1st try (Small Great Things), but there was zero improvement!
By the time I'd read Leaving Time, her formula became clear to me... within 9 months(!):…

An enthralling summer read – it's a page turner, I love elephants, and am intrigued with the paranormal world. Although Picoult is sometimes faulted for being formulaic in her writing, it’s a successful formula that captivates the reader,…
