It was a page turner, --- which is part of the psychological profile presented of Mary Gooch. And how Mary slowly moved into leading a life of .... helping people in need. I appreciated the social awareness Mary developed through the…

I loved The Girls, so was interested to read this book. I forced myself to read until the end, but was left feeling "meh". IMHO, the author got lazy. This was not worth the time I spent reading it.

I could not wait to find out what happens to Mary Gooch!! Absolutely loved this book, and though the ending seemed abrupt and I didn't get some questions answered, I realize it was the right ending! Great writing by a local author! Gonna…

I did not find the book as engaging as "Rush Home Road" (read this three times!) or "The Girls". However, I feel that "The Wife's Tale" would make for an entertaining movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Mary was a very believable character and it was a joy to see her transformation.

Lansens creates very real characters. Her depiction of Mary and her struggles was almost too honest at times. While I enjoyed the story it was not as compelling as her previous 2 novels.

Could put it down. Regrettably did not live up to its advanced praise. Easy to skim paragraphs at a time, without fear of missing anything. Did not find the cast of characters particularly engaging or credible. Like Mrs. Gooch, I found…
